My NFT Wars: Evaluating Immutable for Our Innovative PlayFi RPG Game

We’re developing My NFT Wars, a PlayFi RPG game, in collaboration with the seasoned developers at Blockchain Cuties Universe and iLogos Game Studios. Our team has an extensive background in free-to-play and NFT gaming, having completed over 460 projects since 2006.

In My NFT Wars, players can dive into an immersive world, collecting, trading, and battling unique NFT characters. Our focus is on merging engaging gameplay with cutting-edge PlayFi mechanics, which allows players to earn rewards and actively shape the game universe.

As we search for the ideal blockchain platform, we are considering Immutable based on the following criteria:

  • Scalability and performance: A platform capable of handling numerous transactions with low latency and high throughput.
  • Efficient transactions: Reasonable fees to ensure a seamless and enjoyable gaming experience.
  • Robust developer ecosystem: Access to comprehensive documentation, developer tools, and support for effective development.
  • Active and supportive community: A vibrant community that can contribute to and support our game’s growth.

We would appreciate your input on Immutable’s potential as a suitable platform for My NFT Wars. Could you share your thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of Immutable in relation to a PlayFi RPG game like ours? Hey @blockchain_dev_web3 :wave: glad you are considering immutable for your game. Immutable is built to serve games, there is a lot to cover in this area, but important to know:

  • Multi rollup, currently Immutable X (starkEx), soon Immutable zkEVM (Polygon)
  • Speed wise Immutable X can process over 9,000 TPS for trades and 18,000 TPS for transfers, zkEVM is TBD
  • Fees, Immutable X 0 gas fees for any L2 transactions, Immutable zkEVM low fees TBD
  • SDKs, APIs, more Unity and Unreal support to come later, Docs and API reference
  • Dedicated support channel, Discord community etc

it allows players to earn rewards but what are those rewards? are those tokens we can exchange in real money or tokens only for the game?

Efficient transactions & reasonable fees are one of the unique features you have because most of the NFT games right now doesn’t have reasonable fees. Keep it up!!

Is it a free to play game also? It will also be wonderful if you add stories or story line to the game, I personally think that it would be more fun to play with :star_struck:
